As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 913 people, 374 households, and 259 families residing in the city. The population density was 616.9 inhabitants per square mile (238.2 /km2). There were 453 housing units at an average density of 306.1 per square mile (118.2 /km2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.3% White, 0.1% African American, 1.6% Native American, 0.8% Asian, 0.3% from other races, and 1.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.3% of the population.
There were 374 households out of which 31.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.1% were married couples living together, 13.4% had a female householder with no husband present, 3.7% had a male householder with no wife present, and 30.7% were non-families. 24.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.90.
The median age in the city was 35.5 years. 26.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 8.3% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26.3% were from 25 to 44; 24.5% were from 45 to 64; and 14.8% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 47.1% male and 52.9% female.
